About me
Dr. Sonna is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Texas. She has held New Mexico licenses as a Professional Clinical Counsellor, school psychologist, school counselor, teacher of modern languages, and teacher of English as a second language.
The author of twelve parenting books, Dr. Sonna wrote a nationally syndicated column for ten years. In addition, her poems and essays have appeared in a variety of literary journals.
Dr. Sonna is Professor of Counseling Psychology at Yorkville University, a distance master’s program headquartered in Canada, for which she develops and teaches the Multicultural Counselling and the Master’s Case Presentation courses. In San Miguel de Allende, she teaches Pastoral Counseling at Interfaith Academy
She currently resides in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico.
