Interfaith Minister Program – Training to Understand Religion, Grow Consciousness, and Work to Achieve Social and Environmental Justice

The Interfaith Minister in this day and age needs an understanding of not only different religions of the world, but also philosophy and social and environmental justice. While the basis of every Interfaith Minister program is to understand every religion, and provide training to work in religiously diverse institutions, it usually doesn’t include subjects that are important in the current context, including philosophy, spiritual counseling, social and environmental justice, and nonprofit management.

If you are training to become an Interfaith Minister, you would understand that there is more to it than what meets the eye. You are not only learning different religions and doing a comparative study on religions, you are training to grow consciousness as well.

The world we live in today is full of people who have seen the death of their consciousness long ago. They aren’t aware of what’s happening around them, and even if they do, they don’t have a response to deal with it. This is why we need our Interfaith Ministers to get training in growing consciousness as well. Whether it’s related to religion, environment, or society, we need to be conscious enough to know what’s wrong and then act to turn it around.
