Unetaneh_Tokef
We acknowledge and passionately proclaim the sublime holiness of this day; we exalt Thy Kingdom of grace, Thy throne of truth.
On the New Year it is inscribed, and on Yom Kipur it is sealed:
– how many shall go, and how many to be born;
– who shall live and who shall die;
– who shall finish his allotted time, and who not;
– who shall be tranquil and who tormented;
– who shall be enriched and who impoverished;
– who shall fall and who shall rise.
